Accompanied by the caption, “Get ready. 超人. 7.11.25,” the photo was reportedly taken on set by photographer Jess Miglio and was entirely shot in-camera. This reveal follows Gunn’s previous hint on Threads that fans would soon see the new suit, finally delivering on that promise.
David Corenswet’s 超人 costume in the new DC Universe blends modern stylization with classic elements, featuring the iconic red boots and trunks. The suit retains recognizable features like the signature hair curl and a gold belt while incorporating nods to the New 52 comic book era. In the recently released image, subtle hints suggest the potential villain Superman may face, as well as the appearance of Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern, both looming over the Metropolis skyline.
Production on the film, previously known as “超人: Legacy,” kicked off on the superhero’s canonical birthday, February 29. Gunn envisions Superman as the official beginning of the new DC Universe (DCU), even though the animated series 生物突击队 会提前释放。
