The search for directors for the new “Avengers” films has been extensive. Destin Daniel Cretton, known for “Shang-Chi and the 传说 of the Ten Rings,” was initially attached to direct “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” but left the project in 2023. “Deadpool & Wolverine” director Shawn Levy was offered the role but declined. Michael Waldron, the creator of “Loki,” has been hired to write the screenplay for “The Kang Dynasty,” while “Secret Wars” currently lacks a screenwriter.
挑战与变化
The upcoming “Avengers” films, formerly titled “The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: 秘密 Wars,” are expected to undergo significant changes. Following Jonathan Majors’ conviction for assault and harassment, Marvel Studios severed ties with the actor, who had played multiple versions of the villain Kang in the Disney+ series “Loki” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” As a result, the project will be retitled and refocused. “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” is set to release on May 1, 2026, while “Avengers: Secret Wars” is eyeing a May 7, 2027 release.
